Delta Projects

• All Delta students must complete at least 1 Delta Project before graduation 
• All high school students are eligible.

• You can complete a Delta Project each year at Delta (must be a different project each year)

• Seniors who have already completed a Delta Project during their freshman, sophomore, or junior years do not need to complete an additional project during their senior year
• Students earn 0.25 academic credit (roughly 30 hours of work) for completing their Delta Project checklist and exhibiting at the spring Project Expo
• Students cannot complete a Delta Project when:
  • They are receiving academic credit through an independent contract or another class (large projects/portfolio work)
  • Receiving community service hours for their work
  • Being compensated or paid for their work or efforts

Students have completed a variety of passion and service projects.  We encourage students to explore their passions and interests in a way that is both exciting and engaging for them.  

Past projects include, but are not limited to:

• Completed art portfolios and painted murals
• Documented a large creative project or public performance
• Developed websites to learn ASL, explore gap year options, and learn about cybersecurity
• Constructed little free libraries, ramps for skateboarding, and furniture
• Planned and executed a fundraiser (plant sale, flea market, craft fair)
• Developed pamphlets and educational materials for car maintenance, mental health awareness, and other resources

• Watch for information around October. Information will be presented at ASM and in the Weekly Announcements.

• Attend the first informational lunch meeting to gain access to the Delta Project materials and checklist. There will be meetings on both A and B days

• Complete each step on the checklist throughout the year. To receive credit, individuals must complete all checklist items in sequential order.
